Do you LOVE Bacon? Why Not Make Your Own?
Join Hannah for a morning dedicated to all things bacon!

We’ll kick off this hands-on class by demonstrating how to break down a free-range pork belly into primal cuts ideal for crafting the perfect bacon. (We'll also chat about what bacon is and the best cuts to use)

Students will then break into groups to butcher their own pork bellies. From there, we'll each make a dry rub according to our own tastes before prepping the meat to be cured and smoked. (Yes, you’ll get to create your own bacon recipe and complete the process yourself!)

You can then decide to leave you bacon with us to watch over or take it home to smoke yourself. Either way, we'll provide all the direction you need.

But the class doesn't stop there; all that bacon-making is bound to work up a thirst! We’ll finish up with a delicious charcuterie platter, plus a refreshing Behemoth beer or NZ wine to celebrate our bacon creations.

Included in Ticket Price: $165.00 / person

  • 1 - 1.5kg of Ready-to-Eat Bacon (yes, the one you cured yourself!)
  • Shared Charcuterie Platter & Guided Tasting
  • Beverage of Choice (Craft Beer, Wine, or Soft Drink)

If you leave your bacon with us, it will be ready for pickup the following week.
