BAD ART: The Rejection Rebellion
Event description
BAD ART: The Rejection Rebellion is a sculptural workshop that invites participants to throw perfectionism out the window and embrace mess, play, and emotional expression. Led by multidisciplinary artist Moon Girle, it draws on her lived experience with mental health struggles, rejection sensitivity, and creative burnout. Rooted in her personal practice and her involvement in ‘The Door in Question’, this session is a rebellion against self-doubt and the pressure to “get it right.”
Participants will move through blind contour drawing, absurd sculpture games, collaborative chaos, and a powerful “destroy and rebuild” ritual—exploring rejection as a creative material to be transformed, not feared. Nothing made here needs to be “good” to be meaningful. With a strong focus on emotional freedom and self-expression, the workshop closes with reflection, sharing, and the creation of a sculptural piece that holds personal truth, boldness, and power.
No experience needed—just a willingness to show up and let go.
