Bad Guys Wear Black take over the Almont Resort on Saturday, September 19, to celebrate the release of their debut album, Blackout. Formed in Gunnison in 2023 by Western Colorado University alumni, BGWB blend pop-punk, grunge and raw ’90s garage-rock energy with theatrical live performances. Drawing inspiration from Green Day, The Misfits and Alice in Chains, the band is helping reignite the Gunnison Valley’s punk and rock ’n’ roll scene.
Opening the night is Girlband, a local group of Western students bringing classic-rock energy to the stage. Next up is Pueblo’s The Ragetones, an emotionally charged alternative-rock band with Western alumni members whose sound pulls from emo, pop punk, indie rock, ska and post-hardcore.
Doors open at 7 PM, with Girlband at 7:30 PM, The Ragetones at 8:30 PM and Bad Guys Wear Black at 9:30 PM.
