You’re invited to BAE Systems’ Global Access Program Training: Estimating for Defence

The Global Access Program (GAP) would like to invite you to attend BAE Systems Australia: Estimating for Defence Training in Brisbane.

Estimating For Defence is a two-day course that is designed to increase supplier knowledge and expertise in the art of estimating and presenting a price to a customer. Learn how to challenge your cost base, supplier quotes, estimates and price, and submit a compliant proposal that meets customer requirements, represents value for money, and can survive a cost investigation.

The Estimating For Defence course covers:

• Estimating terminology in the Defence industry, the estimating process including methodologies, approach & techniques, and costing principles needed to meet the demands of Government Defence contracts.

• Building a robust Basis of Estimate, applying learning curves, using Variation of Price Indices for escalation, and lifting the mystery of quantifying Cost and Risk Uncertainty.

• The course also includes estimating concepts such as challenging an estimate, challenging supplier quotes, price breaks, and how terms and conditions can all impact and drive the price.

• The course is underpinned with a case study and practical exercises, making for an interactive and engaging course.

The course is free for Australian businesses. As spaces are limited, please nominate only one member to attend.

Time: 9:00am – 5:30pm both days | Registrations open 8:30am

Location: Brisbane CBD – Location will be provided to confirmed attendees prior to the event

Catering: Tea, coffee, water and catering will be provided on both days

Cost: There is no cost to attend the courses, however travel and accommodation expenses are the responsibility of the participating Company/Delegate. By registering for this event, you acknowledge that late cancellation inside of 48hours before the event or non-attendance will incur a mandatory cancellation fee. The policy is strictly enforced and non-negotiable.
