Event description

Worried about your teen and their screen time? Wondering how you can support them to have a healthy relationship with their tech?

Come join us for a one-hour webinar (followed by Q&A) all about supporting our teens to develop a healthy relationship with their screens and technology. We hear this session always comforts parents and shows them that they’re not alone. The presentation takes whānau through the online world and supports them to understand why our young people love their screens so much and how with some practical stratagies we can tick that box without them. It also touches on boundaries and how we can achive an open and honest relationship with our teens.

This session will be facilitated by Amber, a bubbly and relatable youth worker with over 15 years of experience in Canterbury working alongside young people. Amber’s work has included supporting ākonga in alternative education and supporting Ōtautahi teens after the Christchurch Earthquakes. She understands the pressures today’s teens face and knows how to guide them toward healthier habits with their devices. Amber is also a supervisor prociging professional guidance to other youth workers.
