Description
Bale Up is an annual conference bringing together women from across NSW and beyond who are involved in the dairy industry. More than just a conference, Bale Up is a space to connect, learn and be inspired alongside a supportive community of around 120 attendees.
The program features engaging keynote speakers, panel discussions and workshops led by industry professionals, agricultural leaders and fellow dairy farmers, all sharing practical insights and real experiences.
The 2026 Bale Up Conference will be held 22–24 September at the QT in Canberra, ACT.
This year’s theme, “Leading the HER-d”, celebrates the leadership, innovation and influence of women in dairy.

Activity Afternoon – Choose from organised activities
Option 1: Self-paced tour of Floriade (transport provided)
Option 2: Lino printing workshop with Rachel Nicholson, held in the QT conference room.
As Canberra offers many other free attractions and activities, you’re also welcome to use this time to explore the city at your own pace.
Activities can be added after selecting your ticket.
Day 1 - Registration from 9am, conference start 10am. Networking dinner from 6.30pm (at the QT)
Day 2 - Conference start 9am. Gala dinner (off site at the National Museum - transport provided) 7pm
Day 3 - Conference start 9am. Concludes at 1pm, followed by lunch.

FAQs
- I don't live in NSW, can I attend this NSW Women in Dairy event?
Absolutely! We’ve had guests join us from interstate and overseas at previous Bale Up conferences, and everyone is welcome to attend.
- What is the dress code?
Wear whatever you feel comfortable in during the day.
For evening events:
Networking Dinner: Smart casual
Gala Dinner: Slightly more formal, with the theme “Night at the Museum.”
- What is included in the ticket price?
Your Full Conference Ticket Includes:
Access to all conference sessions from 10:00am Tuesday through to 1:00pm Thursday, excluding the optional activities scheduled for Wednesday afternoon.Meals Included

The Dinner Only Ticket provides access to the Gala Dinner at the National Museum only and does not include conference sessions or other meals. - Can I attend if I don't own/work on a dairy farm?
Absolutely! Bale Up is designed to bring together women connected to the dairy industry in many different ways. You don’t need to own or work directly on a dairy farm to attend. We welcome people working across the wider dairy sector, rural communities, agriculture, service industries, and anyone interested in supporting and connecting with women in dairy.
