'Life in the Old Dog' in association with 90's House Music Lovers Down Under are back with their Summer Event.

We are taking over the iconic Torquay Surf Life Saving Club, which sits in prime position, gazing down on to the Torquay Surf Beach on the beautiful Surf Coast.

Our day/night party will take over the large outdoor beer garden from 4:00pm onwards and will finish inside the venue, taking advantage of the sun setting over the bay in true Ibiza fashion.

WHAT TO EXPECT?

Our 6 DJ's have all experienced the best of the White Island and will play over the 2 stages, taking you on a musical journey from the halcyon days of the Summer of Love in 1989 and encapsulating the magic of clubs like Space, Pasha, Privilege (Ku), Amnesia & Es Paradis.  

The music will be eclectic, with a mixture of House, Balearic anthems, Hip Hop, Breaks, Drum n Bass & melodic techno.  So something for everyone and definitely one not to miss for those who partied during the day on the famous Space terrace, witnessed the madness of Manumission at Ku or took in the Balearic tunes of Jose Padilla as the sun went down at Cafe Del Mar.

HOOLY - GLASGOW UK

Formerly a backing dancer with the dance group Yosh and played at some of the UK's biggest clubs back in the 90's, like Cream in Liverpool.  Created  the 90's House Music Lovers Down Under Page/Group and is responsible for a large portion of the tunage that is uploaded.  His sets are eclectic and loves nothing more than a remix of an old classic!  

JOHN DEE - LONDON UK 

Fastly becoming a favourite of the 'Life in the Old Dog' crowd and another big contributor of tunes to the 90's music group. Progressive House is his main jam but he has a great knowledge of all electronic music, so expect to be taken on a Balearic journey of Summery goodness!

MATT KAVANAGH - KENT UK  

First time on board with 'Life in the Old Dog' and he will bring significant DJ experience & knowledge of all things house. Matt presents his own House show on 'House Sweet House radio'.  He also produces his own tracks on LTBH Records, so expect a couple to drop in his set!

CLIVE BROOKES - LONDON UK 

Another one who witnessed the Summer of Love as it happened and has been on his musical journey ever since.  Clive always brings the happy vibe with his uplifting house numbers but expect some old school classics thrown in, as a nod to the super clubs of Ibiza.

GI JAYNE - BIRMINGHAM UK 

It is great to get a female DJ on board for the first time at our events and someone with the same passion as us blokes for electronic music. Jayne  will bring the vocal vibe to get you dancing round your hand bags (and that's just the blokes).  Her experience goes back to DJ'ing at Miss Money Penny's in Birmingham when it was one of the UK super clubs and if you think Defected tunage, you'll be on the right track!

JASON S - CHRISTCHURCH NZ/MELBOURNE

It wouldn't be a 'life in the Old Dog House Party' without a token Kiwi/Islander to break of the plethora of Poms! Another DJ with vast experience going back to the 90's scene in Melbourne and playing at the likes of Freakazoid, Dome & Monkey.  Jason has vast musical experience and a love of the 80's might mean that the odd obscure remix of some mainstream might find the way into his set along with some old school classics!
