What is Disability Pride Month?
The Ballarat Working Together Group invites you to celebrate Disability Pride Month in Ballarat! Disability Pride Month happens every year in July to promote awareness, celebrate people with disability and encourages self-acceptance and embracing all disabilities.
This event will bring together a range of local guest speakers to reflect and share their experiences via a panel discussion!
To celebrate Disability Pride Month, the Framing My Story Exhibition will be on display at Sebastopol Library from 5 July - 18 August 2025.
Accessibility of the Ballarat Town Hall:
Accessible entrance, including access to the lift available via Bath Lane at rear of Town Hall.
Accessible toilet and Adult Change Facility at rear of Town Hall (Bath Lane)
Ramp and railing from Armstrong St South/ Bath Lane
Automatic doors with sensor to enter the building from Bath Lane
Plenty of circulation room
Carpet and stone flooring throughout the first and second floor of the Town Hall
There are metered car parks out the front of and at the side of the Town Hall. Other parking is available on the streets near the Town Hall or at the multi storey carpark at Central Square.
There are designated accessible parking spaces nearby:
In front of the Phoenix Building on Armstrong Street South (opposite the entrance to Central Square) – parallel park
On Armstrong Street South beside the Town Hall car park (near Bath Lane) – drive in parallel park
Near the loading bay for Myer on Armstrong Street South -angled park
Near Office Choice on Armstrong Street South (and on the opposite side of the road) – angled parks
Assistance animals are welcome, including an assistance dog within the meaning of section 4(1) of the Equal Opportunity Act 2010 (Vic).
