Calling all Ballarat history buffs and enthusiasts! Join us to delve into the stories of Ballarat’s past.  

Each month we will explore a new topic about Ballarat’s history. You’ll have the chance to view materials from Ballarat Libraries Heritage Collection, including photos and ephemera. Come along and share your knowledge or learn something new about our wonderful city and its surrounds.  

History chat is informal and relaxed. 

We will be joined by a special guest from Golden City Paddle Steamer Museum Society for this month's History Chat. Paddle steamers have been sailing on Lake Wendouree since the 1860s. We will learn about the history of the vessels and hear the story of recreational and sporting life at Lake Wendouree.
