Event description

If you are reading this is not by accident...

Despite many men having friends and family around day today, the truth is that most guys don’t have the opportunity to share what is truly happening in their lives and how they really feel about it.

Most men just go on about their daily lives without really noticing the signs of isolation until ADVERSITY STRIKES and realise they only HAVE A FEW OUTLETS to get stuff off their chest or talk things through.

This is particularly true for men entering their '30s, ’40s and '50s who focus on their careers or their families and all of a sudden run into new challenges like

- COMMUNICATION AND RELATIONSHIPS

- PARENTING

- DIVORCE

- MEETING NEW FRIENDS

- MANAGING THEIR EMOTIONS

- CHANGING CAREER OR LAUNCHING A BUSINESS

- JUGGLING WORK-LIFE BALANCE

- DEALING WITH STRESS AND LOSS

- RECLAIMING THEIR HEALTH

- QUESTIONS OF PURPOSE

and more...

Sometimes it goes to the extent of their partner actively seeking a positive environment to direct her man to.

The idea of good men like yourself doing it alone is a shame because there are many good men out here that are seeking to grow and improve themselves.

A lot of men we have met in our experience working with men's groups have the ability to LISTEN without judgement and SHARE what they have LEARNED through their adversities.

How much easier would your life be if you did not have to do it alone?

How much faster would you move through your challenges if you were surrounded by an army of brothers?

How much more successful would you be in all aspects of your life if you could learn from other men mistakes and experiences?

This is just a part of what we do at SACRED MEN!

Mental Health experts say that men tend to seek help on a range of issues only when reaching a critical point, which is the kicker... IS NOT THE LOAD THAT BREAKS YOU, IT IS HOW YOU CARRY IT!

Numbers in Australia regarding men's suffering are scary, the current management for the pandemic is not helping and this must change... for our brothers, our children, our partners, our community.

This is where we choose to put our contribution and bring brothers together in an environment that promotes COMMUNITY, CULTURE and CONNECTION.

The work that men experience during our gathering has long-lasting effects and as a result of it is common for them to experience:

- MORE HAPPINESS

- GREATER SUCCESS IN THEIR LIVES

- BECOMING BETTER FATHERS, HUSBANDS AND FRIENDS

- SAVING TIME AND ENERGY

- FEELING MORE MOTIVATED AND INSPIRED

- FINDING A GREATER SENSE OF INNER PEACE AND CONFIDENCE

- BETTER UNDERSTANDING THEIR EMOTIONS

- MAKING LIFELONG FRIENDS

WHAT IS a MEN's SUPPORT GROUP?

A men’s group is a safe non-judgemental space held by experienced men for men that meet regularly and offer the participants the opportunity to safely explore their emotions, enhance connection, promote personal growth and create a welcoming space where individuals can learn from each other, support one another and get real about what is happening in their lives.

WHAT a MEN's SUPPORT GROUP IS NOT?

It is not a cult or a movement related to any specific religion, political or cultural belief. The purpose IS NOT to fix, offer an opinion, counsel a man in need or make assumptions about one’s experience.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT DURING and AFTER a MEN's SUPPORT GROUP?

There is NO activity in which you must participate. We all have different backgrounds, stories and circumstances therefore is important that a man CHOOSE to participate WITHIN HIS CAPACITY.

It is common though, for men fully participating in our gathering to:

- Develop more self-awareness towards ineffective behaviours and how they self-sabotage,

- Learn how to open up emotionally and express what is truly in the way of their happiness and fulfilment,

- Discover new strategies, tools and insights to deal with daily challenges while opening to receive support from peers in the community,

- Improve their communication skills both through active listening as well as adopting effective lingo promoting self-responsibility,

- Evolve their mindset and understanding of relationships and social connections as well as

- Experience a deeper connection with themselves, their masculinity and honour what is truly important to them.

SAFETY IS A MUST FOR ALL MEN WITHIN THIS COMMUNITY where high communication and non-judgement are maintained by following some simple principles:

1. Confidentiality,

2. Self Responsibility,

3. Respect,

4. Intentional Communication,

5. All Feelings are Welcome,

6. No Rescuing,

7. No Intoxication (alcohol and substances),

8. Promote Self and Group Accountability

WHEN and WHERE

Location is communicated via private message after confirming your participation by purchasing a ticket on Humanitix.
We meet on a fortnightly basis every THURSDAY from 6:45 PM to 9 PM.

WHO IS IT FOR?

Every individual identifies themselves as a male from the age of 18 above, no matter social status, sexual orientation, cultural background or religious belief.

THIS IS NOT THERAPY BUT IT IS THERAPEUTIC.

Come as you are to connect with other men in your community and parts of yourself that you might have forgotten...

WHY IS THERE A COST?

We have learned from past experiences that men "fully show up for themselves" when some sort of investment is involved. In addition to that, we have to cover logistics costs for the venue, refreshment and anything else involved to keep this running. If you have any questions regarding your specific situation please contact us.

WHO IS THE FACILITATOR?

Andrea Tindiani

Before anything else, I am a man, a son, a separated man, a father to a young boy and a committed family man.

It was not many years ago that I reached my breaking point and went down the dangerous spiral of depression, unhealthy addictions and lost everything just to realise that everything was simply an opportunity to live life differently, with intentions and purpose.

Since then I turn my life inside out, diving deep into personal development, men's empowerment coaching, mental health support studies, somatic release work, spiritual studies and rites of passage facilitation.

I am an active member and facilitator for global Non-profit organisations like ManKind Project, (IoM) Island of Men, ManCave, BlokesVenture, Pathway to Manhood, The MENtour, SideWalk Listeners as well as a Wellbeing Coach and Yoga and Meditation Teacher.

I have experienced first-hand the benefits of men's groups, which I attend on regular basis online and offline and seriously committed to making this space available to this local community.

Other local experienced men on this journey also attend these meetings and the framework adopted empowers all participants in supporting each other and practising tools that will change your life.

Blessings your way...

YOUR BROTHERS from SACRED MEN
