Ballarat North Neighbourhood House Playgroup

Ballarat North Neighbourhood House is excited to announce our new playgroup at Russell Square, starting from 3rd February to 31st March, every Monday! We warmly welcome families from across Ballarat, especially those who were part of the playgroup at Caledonian Primary School, which ceased at the end of Term 4, 2024. This group has generously provided the resources from their playgroup for our community. Local community volunteer, John O’Brien, who recently won a Lifetime Achievement Award, will also be joining us to assist with setup and pack up, and provide tea, coffee, and a friendly chat to parents.

This playgroup offers a fantastic opportunity for children under school age to engage in fun activities in the large hall at Russell Square, with access to outdoor playground facilities on occasion. It's a great way to support young children to prepare for school by sharing toys, playing with other children, helping with pack up, and experiencing a semi-structured play-based environment.

Details:

• Dates: Mondays from 10th* February to 31st March (excluding the public holiday on March 10th). *Please note we are starting one week later than originally planned!
• Time: 9:15am (or whenever you can get there!) to 10:30am
• Where: Russell Square, Corner of Stawell and Humffray Street, Brown Hill (free parking facilities available)
• Cost: Gold coin donation to contribute to the cost of venue hire and tea and coffee facilities
• Who: Children under school age and their parents/guardians
• What to Bring: Appropriate shoes and clothes for running and messy play, drinks, and snacks for your children
