Step through the doors of the Ballarat Town Hall for a guided tour with one of our knowledgeable Hall Keepers.Â
A fascinating hour awaits with stories of the history of Ballarat and the Town Hall's part in it.
Explore areas of the Town Hall normally not accessible to the Public.
This tour will inform and delight both visitors to, and residents of, this historic city.
Tours will begin from the Visitor Information Centre (Bath Lane Entrance) at 2pm Wednesdays and Fridays. Â

Accessibility of the Ballarat Town Hall
Entrance
Accessible entrance, including access to the lift available via Bath Lane at the rear of the Town Hall. Â
Ramp access to the rear lift. Â
Signage provided for the Visitor Information Centre entrance. Â
Parking and Transportation
Metered parking is available in front of and beside the Town Hall. Additional parking is available on nearby streets or at the multi-story car park at Central Square. Â
Designated accessible parking spaces nearby:Â Â
- In front of the Phoenix Building on Armstrong Street South (opposite the Central Square entrance) – parallel parking. Â
- On Armstrong Street South beside the Town Hall car park (near Bath Lane) – drive-in parallel parking. Â
- Near the Myer loading bay on Armstrong Street South – angled parking. Â
- Near Office Choice on Armstrong Street South (and on the opposite side of the road) – angled parking. Â
- The closest bus stop is Armstrong St/Sturt St.
Toilets
Accessible toilet and Adult Change Facility at the rear of the Town Hall (Bath Lane). Â
Accessible toilet on the first floor. Â

Access Throughout and Amenities
Hearing loop access is available in the Trench Room, Committee Room 1, and Committee Room 2.  Â
Carpet and stone flooring throughout the first and second floors of the Town Hall. Â
Doorways wide enough for scooter and wheelchair access. Â
Signage provided for the Visitor Information Centre entrance.Â
Lift access is available for all levels of the Ballarat Town Hall.Â
Assistance Animals
There is an Assistance Animal Relief Area next to the Dana Street Car Park on Doveton Street South.Â
