Banana Queens Market Garden jungle extravaganza
Event description
Join us for our first Permaculture Connect event for 2025, it’s gonna be a big one!
We’re heading south to Cedar Grove to visit Banana Queen Veronica’s much loved, wonderful, productive property.
Originally hailing from Papua New Guinea, Queen Vee combines traditional food growing and cooking techniques with modern knowledge and lots of trial and mostly success. Her garden is a rambling oasis of green and alive, but she is most famous for “banana avenue”, where she tells me she’s currently cultivating over 30 bunches of bananas to show off on our event day.
Throw in some animals, some open fire cooking, and a wicked sense of humour with the biggest heart imaginable, and you get a glimpse of an idea of what to expect on January 19. This is definitely one not to miss, so I’ll see you there.
Here’s to an even bigger and better 2025 in Permaculture Connect.
