Band Rotunda Building Tour
Description
The Band Rotunda is one of the most self-assertive pieces of architecture in Wellington. It proximity to the harbour is unique, pressing beyond the sea wall and occupying the dramatic sweep of the Orienta Bay street scape. For years this landmark hosted the public and entertained much of its social life, but has remained silent since its closure in 2012. During its closure the building has attracted the public’s imagination, at one point spurring design competitions, but its fate remained largely uncertain…. until now.
Works are underway to give this icon a new life! Have a sneak peak of the progress with this guided tour thanks to Novak + Middleton Architects
