This Mardi Gras, Kings, Queens, and everyone in between join forces for a delectable feast of music, comedy, and commentary at Bondi Pavilion. Hosted by the glittering rabble rouser of Australia’s cabaret scene, Catherine Alcorn, Bangers & Mash is a good-old home-cooked variety of banging tunes and mad mash-ups. Helpmann award-winning iOTA and drag royalty Verushka Darling complete the line up for a night of raucous fun.

Catherine Alcorn is hailed as ‘a must see!’ (L.A. Times) and ‘absolutely hilarious’ (Time Out) with “a voice to die for” (Stage Noise). Catherine is a multi-award-winning actor, vocal artist, producer and one of the world’s most in-demand entertainers. She plays Bette Midler in the international sell-out show The Divine Miss Bette. She’s also a local to the Woollahra/ Waverley area. 

iOTA is a composer, singer, feature film and stage actor, writer, dancer and more. His talents have been recognised with no less than six ARIA Award nominations, four Helpmann Awards, plus Green Room and Sydney Theatre Critics’ Awards. iOTA was the co-creator of Sydney Festival-commissioned Smoke and Mirrors which twice sold out Sydney Festival Spiegeltent seasons and toured globally. 

Verushka Darling is a Hall of Fame inducted drag queen extraordinaire. She burst onto the scene in the early 90’s as a fashion model with ultra-long hair and an hourglass figure. She’s written and performed in award winning stage shows and has produced internationally acclaimed dance parties. She made history in 1999 when she became the first Drag Queen in Australia to host her own TV show Verushka’s Closet on MTV.
