We will start by spending a little bit of time getting to know each other, sharing our motivations for attending and enjoying some genuine connection with others who are also looking to engage in practices to better themselves and their quality of life.
Breathwork Basics
Knowledge is power! While the benefits of breathwork are unquestionably felt in the body you will also be provided with some of the basic science behind breathwork to empower yourself with a deeper understanding of the physiological changes that occur when we engage in this powerful practice.
This knowledge will allow you to not just implement the tools and practices you will be taught but to adapt these to suit the ever-changing demands of your life – and impress your friends and family!
Practical Tools
Our goal is to provide you with tools to experience life from a place of presence and peace. Together we will work through a range of breathwork and related practices that you can use to quickly shift your state of being through regulation of your nervous system. With consistent use of these practices you will experience improved mental clarity and focus and an ability to manage stress, reduce overthinking and return quickly from states of anxiety or overwhelm to a state of calm, ease and peace.
Guided Breathwork and Meditation Journey
To end the day you will be guided through a powerful breathwork and meditation journey, allowing you to experience the compounding effect of different breathwork practices that you have learned throughout the day.
This experience will provide you with an opportunity to get out of your mind and into your body, allowing yourself to release stored stress and tension that has built up due to the nature of our modern day lives. We will end with a guided meditation to drop you into a deep state of relaxation.
Your facilitators
Your facilitators, Dan Gibbons and Colin Hester, both balance banking careers and breathwork, delicately navigating the balance between stress and stillness.Â
Dan’s journey with breathwork began while he was taking a sabbatical from his career in Investment Banking and travelling the world to learn more about himself. He came across a book by the world-renowned ‘Iceman’, Wim Hof, and began practicing the Wim Hof method involving breathwork, meditation and cold exposure. Dan continues to use all of these tools to optimise his physical, mental and emotional wellbeing and is passionate about connecting with others through these practices.
Colin first found breath-work during Covid where he took part in a number of online sessions with Cool2beconscious. Working in a demanding corporate job in Financial services he found it to be an invaluable tool to stay regulated in times of stress. He has now qualified as a practitioner with Cool2beconscious and is very keen to share this powerful modality with others.
Dan and Colin have both received internationally-recognised breathwork and meditation certifications with Cool2BeConscious.Â
