Event description

Join the team from WAW and Parklands Albury Wodonga in our first Banking on trees planting day on Sunday 24 July, 9am-12noon.

About this event

Did you know that every time an account is opened at BankWAW, we plant a tree?

Trees create endless amounts of good.

They clean the air we breathe, filter the water we drink, and provide habitat to over 80% of the world's terrestrial biodiversity.

Planting a tree is also one of the easiest and cheapest ways to take CO2 out of the atmosphere to tackle the climate crisis. It’s also the easiest way that we, as individuals, can reduce our own footprint.

Through BankWAW’s Banking on Trees program, we’re revegetating the bushland of our local communities, contributing to a better climate, supporting biodiversity and creating better living conditions for our local communities.

Together with our partner Parklands Albury Wodonga, BankWAW is planting to make a difference.

We invite you to join us as we reach of goal of planting 1,000 trees this year.

Wear warm clothes, a closed toe shoe and bring a water bottle/thermos.

Where: Wodonga Regional Park, Carrolls Ln, West Wodonga. Find meeting point at https://www.google.com/maps/d/... (photo below)
