Join Baran Yildiz & Greg Sheehan for a special duo performance blending handpan, percussion, world and electronic music on the 18th of October 2024 at 5 Church St. Bellingen, NSW.

Greg Sheehan is one of the leading figures in Australian Percussion. As a performer, teacher and recording artist, he is significantly represented in Australian music for over 50 years. Greg is a brilliant percussionist and he has been a major influence on generations of musicians and has literally reshaped the map of rhythm. Greg is well-known for his own body percussion style, reinvention of tambourine technique and creative approach to all percussive instruments. A passionate visionary who has created a unique system of maths music which is now being taught in Music Colleges around the country.

Baran Yildiz is a Sydney based multi-instrumentalist and renowned as one of Australia's most talented handpan players. Baran's music combines melodies and rhythms of the Anatolia, Middle East and Africa with a  modern touch on the hand pan, piano and various percussion instruments. Originally trained in classical piano and jazz drums, Baran has gradually become a contemporary world music composer. Baran has released two albums: ‘Interbeing’ (September 2019) and Bridging Worlds (October 2023), blending various modern world and neo-classical music elements to present enchanting instrumental soundscapes.

This unique performance will fuse intricate rhythms into heart-warming melodies to create a unique and powerful experience for the audience.
