Event description
Baranduda Landcare’s Annual Community National Planet Ark Tree Planting Day is on again.
This year we celebrate our 24th annual event! Everyone, including kids, is invited to join in the fun on Sunday 30th July 2023.
Group briefing 10am (sharp) on Middle Creek site.
A traditional post-planting free BBQ will follow on-site at 12.45pm. Hot cuppa/water & biscuits also provided.
This is a great way to meet local people and help enhance our local environment.
BYO: sturdy footwear (gum boots recommended as this site is wet), warm clothes and gloves, and your favorite planting tool.
We’ll be planting even if raining!
Portable toilet will be on site.
RSVP essential before 27th July -Â - please reply asap - to enable us to order food and plan accordingly

2023 BLCare Tree Day Access Maps
There are two options to access the site.
Option1 - 2WD vehicles. Park on Boyes Rd (towards Beechworth Rd end) and walk in (300m) - see Map 1 below
Option2 -Â 4WD & higher clearance AWDÂ (weather dependent)- follow signs from the intersection of Boyes Rd and Burgess Lane (involves rocky ford crossing) - see Map 2 below
Arrive 9.45am on site:
Parking – follow instructions/signs on the day (refer Maps below)
Allow 15 min. to get to the site from Boyes Rd or Burgess Lane.

What Covid-19 Restrictions Apply?
- Advice and guidelines are changing rapidly -Â stay up to date
- Regularly wash your hands, keeping at least 1.5 metres from other people, and stay home if you feel unwell

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?
Two options (both accessed off Boyes Rd - follow signs accordingly)
1. 2WD vehicles - park at the Beechworth Rd end creekline reserve entrance gate and walk in 300m on the route shown byYellow arrows on the attached map.
2. 4WD vehicles (& higher clearance AWD provided competent drivers) - follow signs off Boyes Rd - north down Burgess Lane.  Follow track markers along route as shown by Red arrows on the attached map. This route includes a rocky ford crossing - and will be open or closed based on weather conditions.
What do I need to bring to the event?
- BYO: sturdy footwear (gum boots are recommended as this site has wet sections), warm clothes and gloves, snacks and drinks as well as your favorite planting tool.
- The traditional post-planting free BBQ will be available - let us know dietary requirements at registration
- We will provide mini mattocks, mallets & other tools for community use on the day.
- We'll plant, stake and guard over 1000 native seedlings on the two day
