Assessing the economic benefits provided by the trees in our botanic gardens

The modern arborists of the BGANZ Arboriculture Professional Group (BARB) have the skills and tools to quantify (often in dollar value) many of the benefits our trees confer to society. The BGANZ Arboriculture Professional Group (BARB) is seeking participation by member gardens to help us carry out a rapid assessment of some of these benefits using an online tool called i-Tree Canopy. At this forum, join BARB Convenor, Ian Allan, to talk about how and why we should quantify the benefits of our trees. Ian will then take attendees through the BARB plan to use i-Tree Canopy to start putting a dollar value on our amazing tree collections.
