The annual Barbara Dicker Oration is an initiative of the Barbara Dicker Brain Sciences Foundation (BDBSF) that facilitates meaningful conversations about mental health and brains sciences, as well as research advancements in these fields.

This year we welcome special guest speaker Professor Ron Grunstein AM, Head of the Sleep and Circadian Group at the Woolcock Institute, Macquarie University and Senior Staff Specialist at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and Professor of Sleep Medicine at the University of Sydney.

Professor Grunstein AM has diverse interests in clinical research in sleep medicine, sleep neurobiology and sleep health. His research expertise includes diagnosis, effects and management of sleep apnea, epidemiology of sleep disorders, impact of sleep loss on human health and evaluating and developing new treatment approaches in sleep disorders.

Professor Grunstein AM will present on the cutting-edge developments in sleep disorders research and new treatments, as well as discussing how sleep is connected to brain ageing.
