Skydance festival touches down in Byron Bay for the second stop of its East Coast launch series and this one’s something special.

For the first time ever, a brand new warehouse location in the Byron industrial estate will be opened and transformed, Slash Studios, a creative sanctuary nestled in the heart of town.

This one’s powered by two forces known for crafting magic from the underground: Bare foot Beat and Tabularasa Collective.

Curated by Monsieur Diop — stage designer, decor artist, DJ, and creative visionary — Barefoot Beats are the kind of crew who turn dancefloors into healing. Into art. Into release.

Now, in collaboration with The Ambassadors, they open the doors to Slash Studios — their new sanctuary for artists and creatives in the heart of Byron.

And together, we’re teaming up to celebrate the Skydance launch and a nomadic homecoming, all at once.

Tabularasa Collective is a multidimensional collective known for weaving together music, visual storytelling, and immersive art. Their events blur the line between party and performance, offering a taste of the underground that’s raw, artful, and entirely their own.

Founded by the original Subsonic team, they've brought their vision to life across continents: from crafting the iconic Tribe stage at Summer Contrast in Poland, to hosting boutique gatherings and underground retreats in Fiji, and the beloved Waves: a surfside sanctuary of sound held on the shores of Crescent Head.

Skydance is their latest evolution, a collaboration with the original Skydance crew to create something unforgettable.
