Aotearoa Barista Championship Workshop 2025: Interpretation and expectations of the scoresheets.

The workshop is designed for judges, competitors, and coaches in the Aotearoa Barista Champs. We will break down the scoring categories so you can best prepare yourself to compete, referencing the Rules & Regulations documents from World Coffee Events. We will not teach, coach, or tell you how to win. This is a rules-based event, lecture, and PowerPoint presentation with Q&A.

As part of the workshop, we will send out a pre-test to those attending to start you thinking within the rules about the Championship.

This workshop will be compulsory for anyone considering judging with industry knowledge as a prerequisite. Please fill out the Judges' expression of interest form. The workshop will be free of charge to those judges who have judged in the Aotearoa Barista championships for two or more years before '25.

This workshop is free for all registered competitors of the championship. If you're a competitor, you will need to register here to attend (launches 2025)
