Barossa Green Sprint: Better Data Centres
Description
The Barossa Green Sprint from Better Data Centres runs as an invite-only series of sessions delivered across five live, 60-minute sessions. Participants can choose which sessions they attend but each session is strictly capped at 20 people.
Each session focuses on a distinct capability area that shapes better data-centre delivery:
Feb 17: Circularity & Precinct Activation (co-location, social licence, regional value creation)
Feb 19: Planning & Approvals (regulatory pathways, community engagement, approval risk)
Feb 24: Power Solutions (renewable integration, storage, grid constraints, resilience)
Feb 26: Thermal & Water Systems (cooling, water positivity, heat reuse, circular infrastructure)
Mar 3: Modular Construction & Delivery (speed-to-market, prefabrication, supply chains, workforce readiness)
Every session follows the same structure: 20 minutes of expert challenge framing, 30 minutes of applied Barossa Green case discussion to test assumptions and surface capability gaps, and 10 minutes of group reflection to capture insights.
Outputs include defined competencies, emerging roles, cross-disciplinary interfaces and workforce gaps to inform future pilots and a shared knowledge node
