Our Reef, Our Future: Barron River Candidates Forum
Event description
The Queensland state election is fast approaching. Do you know where your local candidates stand on protecting our Reef and the 64,000 regional jobs that depend on it?
Join AMCS, Divers for Climate and the Barron River community for our Candidates Forum.
This is your chance to get to know your local candidates and find out what they will do on critical issues like climate, renewable energy, water pollution, and fisheries, as well as hear from scientists and people who work on the Reef.
The next government must fight for our Reef and you will decide who has the best plan to protect it.
PS: Not sure which electorate you're in? Barron River includes Stratford, Freshwater, Redlynch, Caravonica, Kuranda, Machans Beach, Holloways Beach, Yorkeys Knob, Trinity Beach, Trinity Park, Kewarra Beach, Clifton Beach, and Smithfield.
However you do not need to be a voter in Barron River to attend the forum and hear what these local political representatives, scientists and tourism workers have to say!)
