Audience: 

  • Proficient in 2D echo
  • Basic understanding of Doppler
  • Those seeking higher qualifications (e.g., EDEC, BSE level 2, etc..)
  • Physiologists seeking an understanding of critical care echo.

Outline:

  • 25-30 Participants
  • Didactic course with hands-on sessions & simulators
  • Live dissection with locally sourced lamb hearts. Audience participation is encouraged but not essential.
  • Case-based learning with lectures minimised.
  • Small group discussions
  • Echo reporting practice on GE workstations
  • 1:4 max faculty/participant ratio
  • Accredited with EDEC and BSE
  • Online pre-course material
