Travel instructions

We are located at the McRobies Gully Waste Management Centre, at the end of McRobies Road in South Hobart. By Car or Bus: From South Hobart, drive up Macquarie Street. Before you reach the Cascade Brewery, take the tip shop turnoff (slip lane on the righthand side of road) towards the historic Female Factory and follow the road as it curves to the left. Drive through the gates heading toward the landfill site and the South Hobart Tip Shop and Education Centre is on the left hand side of the road. By Bus: Using public transport from Hobart CBD, take the 446 Bus from Macquarie Street (stop N) towards South Hobart. Get off at stop 110 Cascade Road. From here it is an 8 minute walk to the South Hobart Tip Shop and Education Centre (follow above directions). Walking or by bike: You can walk or ride to the South Hobart Tip Shop and Education Centre from the City along the Hobart Rivulet Track located off Molle Street. You can walk or ride along the Rivulet, pass the Cascade Female Factory, and then turn right onto McRobies Road. At the end of McRobies Road there is a separated path to the South Hobart Tip Shop and Education Centre.

Entry instructions

Our Education Centre is located opposite the South Hobart Tip Shop. Gates to our education centre usually open 30 minutes prior to the workshop commencing.

Hazards

The main pathway to our education centre from the car park is uneven and contains steps. Access to our education centre by car is available upon request.

Toilet location

There re no accessible toilets available in our education centre.

Accessible parking

There are two accessible parking spots available in front of the South Hobart Tip Shop. Parking at the Education Centre can be made available on request.
