Held on sundown 31/10, Samhain marks the time of year in which the barrier between the earthly and spirit worlds dissolves, allowing spirits and faeries to walk among mortals.
Halloween originates from the ancient celebration of Samhain when changing of the seasons and the dead were honoured.
