Come together for a weekend of weaving with Zimmi Forest from northern NSW.
Zimmi will guide you through the techniques for each of the classes using natural foraged fibres.
You can join the whole weekend, or do any one of the classes.
Saturday morning we will learn the intricacies of the Neolithic Weave. Saturday afternoon we will do the diagonal open weave (which is also known as Kupenga to the Maori). Both these techniques have a gorgeous rhythm that will slow you down and you will relax into.
On Sunday we will spend a good part of the day weaving the beautiful form that is the melon basket. You will have a choice of fibres to weave into this basket.
All materials are supplied and all classes suitable for beginners
