Basket Weaving with Nikki Carabetta
Event description
Learn the timeless art of coil weaving and create your very own basket by the end of the course.
Nikki, an artist with Yamaji and Brinkin/Ngangikurrunggurr heritage, has been weaving for over 20 years. She shares her culture through art, and in this workshop she'll guide you through traditional techniques using raffia and wool.
You'll start by making a bracelet to master the basics before progressing to your final basket project.
