Attending safeTALK, suicide prevention skills training is incredibly powerful and practical. SafeTALK builds confidence to help someone in a time of need. 

We went looking for the best possible Suicide Intervention Training providers. We're delighted to offer men in The Men's Table community this FREE Training in collaboration with the National Centre for Suicide Prevention Training (WA) and Living Works. We will have pizza for dinner, so there's a $11 fee to cover some of that.

safeTALK empowers everyone to play a role in preventing suicide using a simple yet effective model. Participants in safeTALK learn to identify someone who may have thoughts of suicide, ask questions about suicide directly and safely, and refer these individuals to an ASIST-trained caregiver or community safety connections.

safeTALK addresses common community perceptions and myths around suicide that prevent individuals from acting, such as the idea of "putting the idea of suicide in someone's head".
