Bat Buddies at Rosalind Park
Event description
Did you know that Australia is home to approximately 86 species of bats?
For kids and families - come along to learn fun facts about Bendigo's microbats and the endangered Grey-headed Flying Foxes living in Rosalind Park. Listen to experts share information about where they live, what they eat and why they are so important to our environment.
There will also be bat-themed arts and crafts activities and a short walk to view the Grey-headed Flying Foxes hanging in the treetops.
Alternatively, join us for the later twilight session at 5:30pm to watch the bats taking flight.
Meeting point: At the Pine Lawns (2) on the western side of the Fernery. There will be tables and signage at the site.
