Becoming a Woman workshop

This workshop is a soulful gathering for girls, pre-menarche (onset of menstruation) or "just started”, with their mothers, to demystify the menstrual cycle and to learn about the physical and spiritual opportunities offered each month by this miraculous process.

Together we will honour the feminine experience of the menstrual cycle, celebrating becoming and being a woman and heal the “wounded feminine” of our times.

The young girls will get the opportunity to share a special connection with their mothers and other women, in a safe and loving space.

All women will gain a deeper understanding of the spiritual aspects of the menstrual cycle and learn practical tools to work with its energy in their everyday life.

Please note: This is not a sex ed or puberty talk. This is an exploration of womens menstrual cycle and how to harness and lean into it's magic.
It is a rites of passage circle allowing wisdom to be passed from mothers to daughters collectively.

This is a two-part workshop

The Reclaiming workshop is for mothers only.

The Becoming workshop is for mothers and daughters.

Part 1 ~ Reclaiming: 
Reclaiming is for Mothers (or mother figures) only.
It is an opportunity for mothers to explore their own experience of menarche and how this rite of passage has shaped their experience of womanhood.
This event builds trust amongst the mothers and allows a safe space for processing and questions in preparation for Part 2 with the maidens.

Part 2 ~ Becoming:
Becoming is a gathering for girls, pre-menarche or "just started", with their mothers, to demystify the menstrual cycle and to learn through information sharing about the physical and spiritual opportunities inherent in the female cycle.
The gathering is held in a circle format, with the mothers sharing some of their experiences and the facilitators holding an interactive experience with all participants as they explain the rhythm of the cycle.
The basics of the cycle will be explained, linking it to the cycles of the moon and earth seasons.
A shamanic drum journey is offered for participants to meet with their inner goddess and gain information for their lives as women.
