Journeying with Cailleach - a circle in death midwifery
Thinking about death won’t kill you, but it might just make your life more meaningful. Tonight’s Red Tent will explore death midwifery, supporting and being in service to others in relation to death, and reflecting in relation on our own mortality. Why don’t we think through death planning- just like we do birth planning or a will? Why don’t we make space to talk about what makes a good death for us? In ancient times we would just know how to support a friend a family member to make them more comfortable in their time of dying. We would know what we wanted culturally, spiritually, personally. All these decisions would not be in the hands of strangers.
There has been a natural birth revolution. Now there is a natural death revolution rising. Where people are asking is there another way to die with dignity and grace for the people around me? What do I want to put in place for my future?
Tonight we will use circle and story, guided drum journeys and talk through practicalities of health directives and specific ways to support family and friends during the dying process.

About Red Tent Australia
This is a circle for women and we welcome anyone who identifies as female into the warmth of the Red Tent to spend the evening filling their cups and just being.
This circle will be strictly limited to 25 women so please purchase tickets early to avoid disappointment.
