A facilitated discussion by movie podcasters Rob Harris and Rohan Woolf Aussie and the Scotsman will follow the movie.
The Correspondent is a compelling true story about an Australian journalist, Peter Greste, who reports on the Arab Spring uprising is arrested and accused of terrorism. He has become a pawn in a deadly game of corrupt officials and ancient rivalries. Imprisoned for seven years despite his innocence, he survives on wits alone before his release in 2015.
Cost: $25 includes movie ticket, nibbles, and facilitated discussion.
