BCA Conversations - Consultation on Inclusive School Education

This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

Join us to discuss the findings of the Disability Royal Commission regarding the future of schools across Australia. The Royal Commission's report, released late last year, included two alternative approaches to the future of specialised/segregated schooling. One recommendation proposes a gradual phase-out of segregated education by 2051, aiming for inclusive schooling practices, while the alternative recommendation suggests maintaining some role for special schools while encouraging proximity to mainstream schools, fostering partnerships for joint activities.

At BCA, we value your input and invite you to join us for a discussion on this crucial matter. This consultation event aims to gather your experiences and opinions on specialised/segregated schooling, and how we can encourage more inclusive education. Come along to share your views and help shape a more inclusive future together.

If you have any questions, or if you require assistance registering, please feel free to contact us at events@bca.org.au or call 1800 033 660.
