However, this time... we're going Halloweencore 👻 🧟‍♀️ 🎃.

Because this round is a bit spesh, we're mutating our social sesh into a fully coached functional bodybuilding class. Come jack your skeleton, ghost your gym crew, or raise the deaddies. Permission to get a feral pump and leave the shrinking to the patriarchy. Gay chaos on the gym floor, sapphics and FLINTA welcome. Two sessions to choose from, 1-hour of your afterlife. The more unhinged you dress, the less we'll no-rep you. Prize for the most camp costume per class. Carbs and iced coffee bring you back to life after. Bring the big hexy dyke energy.

Melt Festival is an annual, open-access celebration of LGBTQIA+ arts, culture, and ideas held across Brisbane (Magandjin), Australia

JUST IN CASE YOU'RE NEW HERE

BDE Barbell Club is Brisbane's sapphic and FLINTA strength training community. We're all about the BDE: Big Dyke Energy. Taking up space, celebrating strong bodies, lifting heavy shit, masc/andro-coded strength aesthetics, a safe space and real community belonging. We're so not about shrinking, snatching waists or building BBLs for the gram. Every session comes together as a bunch of people lifting each other up through partner workouts, collective hype, a next level pump and carbs and coffee hangs after.

Social Sessions usually run every 2 to 3 Saturday mornings at Flava Fit, Murarrie, with a social bevvo after at Sonny's Cafe.

WHAT TO EXPECT
💪🏼 Masc/Andro-leaning body recomposition + a bit of sapphic-specific endurance

🏋️‍♀️ Functional Bodybuilding

🔥 Rx (advanced) and Foundational (beginner) options programmed

⏰ 1hr session → expect AMRAPs, EMOMs or partner workouts + a Challenge

👭 Fully Coached session by an Ex Phys and Gymnastics Coach

🌈 Equal parts queer social event and lifting session → lax, respectful, and here to celebrate sapphics lifting heavy shit
