Be a Community Mentor (SW Sydney focus)
Event description
This "Lunch-n-Learn" interactive workshop is jam-packed full of useful tips and techniques to help you understand more about the principles of life mentoring - and how develop a lasting and beneficial mentoring relationship and support others in your community.
Whether you're dipping your toe into the water to become a mentor for family members or mates or colleagues, or if you just want to understand what community mentoring is all about, this workshop will be a great foundation for the future.
Who: All adults 18+, all genders
Outcomes:
= Know the differences between life mentoring, business/career mentoring, life coaching, and counselling
= Understand the role for the mentor and the role of the mentee in a successful mentoring relationship
= Learn some key communications skills that are beneficial to both mentee and mentor
This program is aimed for the people and communities of the SouthWest Sydney area (Canterbury to Camden) including NSW Southern Highlands. If you reside or work outside of SW Sydney, that's OK too - please register!
