Beat'n Tracks presents: Emily Lubitz LIVE at the Taproom
Event description
The second weekend of Beat'n Tracks shows will feature the wonderful EMILY LUBITZ, formerly of Tinpan Orange.
Travelling from the Far North Coast of NSW, Emily will be joined by her band for a night of gorgeous, other-worldly indie-folk.
After more than a decade releasing albums and touring with award winning indie-folk darlings Tinpan Orange, Emily Lubitz stepped out on her own, releasing her debut EP, ‘Begin Again’ in 2022 to critical acclaim.
Emily is a veteran of the scene, having performed on some of the world’s biggest stages and premiere international festivals, appeared on SBS’s Rockwiz and sang the viral sensation, Dumb Ways to Die. She has collaborated with the likes of Paul Kelly, Martha Wainwright, Jen Cloher and Mama Kin, and yet her solo work is imbued with the raw energy of a breakthrough artist.
“Emily's exquisite, brushed-velvet vocal conjures a steady neck-hair raising waltz” - The Age
“Strikingly assured” - Rolling Stone Australia
“What is it about Lubitz’s voice that makes it so incredibly captivating? Her timbre is otherworldly; hopeful and vulnerable, yet potent.” – Beat Magazine
Supported by Tammy Haider.
This show is part of the Beat'n Tracks Regional Touring Circuit, funded by the Australian Government through Music Australia. These events take place on Dja Dja Wurrung and Ngurai-illum Country.
