Share your experiences and tips for staying cool in long, hot and humid summers.

As the climate in the Tweed changes, we know that we will be facing more days with temperatures over 30 degrees, more nighttime temperatures over 25 degrees, and more consecutive days of heatwave conditions.

We also know that people are concerned about rising energy costs and wanting to save money on cooling costs where possible.

We want to know:

• How do you balance energy costs vs cooling needs?
• What other strategies do you use to beat the heat?
• How do you stay in touch with loved ones and neighbours during heat events?

This social and interactive workshop will include sharing of ideas, imagining possibilities for better community outcomes and morning tea.

Venue: South Tweed Community Centre (next door to TRAC pool)

Date and time: Thursday 6 March, 10:30 am – midday

Cost: free (includes morning tea)
