BEATS & BREATH - Move freely - Breathe deeply - Come back to you
Description
When was the last time you truly switched off, let go, and felt like yourself again?
Beats & Breath is a unique experience that blends uplifting music, free movement, and guided breathwork on the iconic sands of Cable Beach.
Created by coach and breathwork facilitator Sarah Lou Mullineux, these sessions offer a powerful opportunity to release stress, reconnect with your body, and reset for the week ahead.
There are no dance steps to learn and no experience required. Simply wear something comfortable that allows yourself to move freely, breathe deeply, and be guided through an experience designed to calm the mind, boost your energy, and reconnect you with your sense of joy.
This is your invitation to make time to move, breathe, and come home to you.
Arriving and What to Expect
Allow yourself time to park at the Broome Surf Club carpark and walk down the ramp to the beach, turn left and walk approximately 150metres from the ramp towards the dogs off lead sign.
We will have a circle set up in the dry sand at the high tide line.
When you arrive you will be given a set of Silent Beats headphones to wear and time to get settled into your spot.
At 5.15pm I will start with a brief introduction and we will set an intention for the session before we move and groove down the beach to activating music. After 20-30 mins we will arrive back to the circle ready to take some cleansing breaths together. The guided breathwork practice will weave slow, calming breathing with short rounds of faster breathing. The faster rounds gently activate and energise the body, and the slow breathing helps the nervous system settle each round into a deeper state of calm. You'll be guided through every step, and at all times you can choose to breath at your own pace.
At the end of the session it will be dark returning to the surf club ramp or stairs. Please bring a torch or use your phone to guide yourself safely back to your car.
New to breathwork?
Breathwork is the practice of consciously changing the pace and rhythm of your breath to shift how your body and mind feel. During the faster rounds, you might notice tingling in your hands or face, tightness in some areas and a change in temperature. These sensations are normal and ease quickly once the breath slows down. You're always in control, and you can return to your natural breath at any time.
The session ends with rest and integration, so you leave feeling clear and grounded, with plenty of time for reflection and connection afterwards. You are invited to write in your journal, share and chat with others before you leave.
No prior experience in breathwork is needed, and everyone is welcome.
A basic level of fitness is required to walk down the beach and to move to the music at your own pace, interest and ability.
Spaces are limited.
Book your spot and experience the energy of movement, music and breath.
