Following a compelling talk at Vogelmorn’s Disaster Innovation Research and Teaching (DIRT) group on Sunday 24th November, Julian will discuss ways we can communicate within our community and more widely if an earthquake extreme weather or other event means internet, tv and phone networks are down. He will demonstrate VF radio, software radio and Meshstastic.
Julian Oliver is an award-winning educator, artist and digital activist. He is the co-author of the Critical Engineering Manifesto. He has given numerous workshops and masterclasses including in data forensics, creative hacking, computer networking, counter-surveillance, software art, object-oriented progamming, and radio, worldwide.
