Beauty Therapy Online Workshop | Industry Focus
Description
Service and Creative Skills Australia (SaCSA) invites beauty therapists, salon and spa owners, clinic managers, employers and industry stakeholders to participate in an online workshop exploring the future skills and workforce needs of the beauty, skin, spa and wellness sectors.
As part of the Update of Beauty Qualifications project, this workshop will focus on the knowledge, skills and behaviours required for success across a range of beauty, skin, spa and wellness roles. Dedicated workshops are being held for Nail Technology and Make-Up; this session will focus on the broader beauty therapy sector.
Discussion will explore current and emerging industry practices, technologies, treatments and business models, as well as the capabilities employers value most. Topics may include technical skills, client consultation, customer experience, retail and product knowledge, infection control, digital skills, sustainability, leadership and business operations.
We are particularly interested in understanding the roles that exist across the sector, the scope of practice associated with those roles, and the skills, knowledge and behaviours expected of individuals at entry, intermediate and advanced levels.
Feedback gathered through this workshop will help inform future training products that better reflect industry needs and prepare learners for successful careers across the beauty, skin, spa and wellness sectors.
We encourage participation from beauty therapists, dermal and skin practitioners, salon, clinic and spa owners and managers, employers, industry associations, product and equipment suppliers, wellness professionals, educators working in industry, and others with experience across the beauty, skin, spa and wellness workforce.
We look forward to welcoming you and hearing your insights.
