Event description

Venue : Cascade Brewery Bar

Dates: 6 August 2024

5.30pm - 6:30pm, followed by an opportunity to join Pete Walsh for a drink or dinner

“Platypus Guardian” Pete Walsh has been working on a new film project since the release of the popular ABC documentary, which chronicled his incredible connection with the platypuses in the Hobart Rivulet, and his tireless work to protect them. His new short film called “Becoming Platypus” follows two females, and tells the captivating story of their ecology, behaviour, and the challenges they face in the waterways through footage captured by Pete during countless hours of observation. Join us for the world premiere of “Becoming Platypus,” followed by a Q&A with Pete. Afterwards, join Pete for a drink or dinner at the Cascade Brewery Bar.

Proceeds from this event will go to support the work of Hobart Rivulet Platypus. Ticket prices do not include dinner or drinks.
