    Event description

Monday to Friday, daily from 8-20 July, 10:30am-12pm  |  Booking required  |  Free
Pam McKinlay from the Dunedin School of Art uses art workshops to give children a better understanding of native bees - what they look like, where they live and how they help us. Many of the ngaro huruhuru/native bee species are so small we don’t even notice them. Find out from Dr Jenny Jandt, Otago University bee researcher, just how important native bees are and what we can do to protect them.

Test your knowledge about pollinators in your backyard, local beach and local forests.

Help to create a floribunda artwork and learn how to support our native solitary bees.

This workshop is suitable for ages 6+. Some children will require support from an adult to participate, depending on their abilities. Please note the workshop is one and 1/2 hours in length and take that into account for any child registrants. Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
