Bees are a critical part of our food production system and knowing how to create the best possible pollinator environment on your property has many benefits, for your farm business, your crop yields and your bottom line.

The Bee Friendly Farming program works with farmers  to help protect, preserve and promote the health of all pollinators.

Speaker #1  Dr Romina Rader, Associate Professor Community Ecology (Plant-Animal Interactions) , Ecology - Faculty of Science, Agriculture, Business and Law; School of Environmental and Rural Science University of New England, Member Bee Friendly Farming Scientific Taskforce.

Romina’s current projects relate to wild and managed insect pollinators, their efficiency at pollinating horticultural crops and finding ways to improve fruit yield and quality by understanding their life history needs. Read More about Romina here

Speaker #2 Dr Kevin Foster, University of Western Australia.

Kevin Foster is a Senior Research Officer at UWA, School of Agriculture and Environment. He brings over 30 years’ experience in Pasture Science and is a passionate advocate for using Bee Friendly pastures to fill annual feed gaps and optimise the benefits for agriculture and the environment. Speaker #3 Lea Hannah, BFF Farm Technical Liaison 

Lea Hannah is a pollination biologist fascinated by all aspects of plant-pollinator interactions and improving biodiversity within both natural and agricultural landscapes. Lea is a PhD candidate at Hawkesbury Institute for the Environment at Western Sydney University.  Read more about Lea here
