Beer & BBQ … sometimes it’s the simple things in life which bring the greatest of pleasure. That’s why Hope Estate is delighted to announce that the Hunter Valley Beer & BBQ Festival is back in 2022 with the addition of a great partner in RAM Trucks.
The festival will showcase all that’s great about Beer & BBQ. With over 40 varieties of Beer to taste there’s something for everyone. We’ve got IPAs, Lagers, Porters, Ciders, and a range of increasingly popular Sours for those who like to live adventurously. Also returning are sanctioned rounds of the Steak Cookoff Competition (Saturday) and Australasian BBQ Alliance Cookoff (Sunday) as well as an array of BBQ food vendors – think Smoked Ribs, Brisket, and Lamb on a spit.
For more than 40 years, Ed Tonks has been actively teaching, researching, and promoting aspects of Hunter’s history. His ‘Pits and Pubs’ tour captures a bygone era where pubs were more than just watering holes, instead they played a part in facilitating a sense of community.

Itinerary:
Day 1: Pickups will commence by 06:30. Morning tea @ Buladelah around 08:30. Our approximate arrival at the Big Ram & BBQ Festival is 11:00. Departing at 16:00 for Macquarie 4 Star. Check-in before dinner (if you can fit it in) at 18:00.
Day 2: Enjoy breakfast before departing just after 09:00. We meet Ed Tonks @ Maitland Railway Station and then off on our tour. Departing by 16:00 we will stop at Nabiac for dinner. Drop-offs commencing by 20:00
