Candle Dipping Workshop

This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

Sarah and David invite you to join us for a creative afternoon making hand-dipped beeswax candles.

You will learn some basics about how beeswax is harvested and refined so we can benefit from its many uses. In small groups, you will make your own candles from wick to finished creation.

You will get to make a minimum of 16 taper candles in one batch for you to take home. Bring an empty glass jar (not bigger than 300ml and with a wide opening) to fill with wax and wick. Additional jars will be charged extra. Perfectly in time to gift your beautiful creations for Christmas or light up your home.

Come along for an afternoon being enveloped by the warm scent of beeswax and honey. Bees are often attracted by the smell and we are sure we get to hang out with our friends. Bring some snacks and non-alcoholic drinks to share. This is a kids' friendly event and we encourage you to bring small humans along. Either for a full workshop session or kiddie-candle dipping.

Do you know about the benefits of beeswax candles? Read about it on Davids website: dzcandles.co.nz
