Beginner Ballet: Learn the Basics
Event description
You're never too old to begin ballet
In this introduction to ballet you will develop an understanding of ballet history and the basic elements from plié (bend) to pirouette (turn). Your bedroom becomes the studio in this class, giving you the opportunity to work on a sequence of steps to keep on practicing throughout iso.
Facilitated by Dominic McCarthy
Dominic has been training as a male ballet dancer for almost a decade and a half. He is currently studying a Certificate IV in Dance Teaching and Management, as well as a Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies, alongside with a Bachelor of Business (Management) at CQUniversity. Dominic assists at his local dance school in regional Queensland as a mentor and teaching assistant.
