Event description

If you think you’re totally hopeless at putting pen to paper, think again.

In this weekend workshop you'll discover that everyone has creativity. You just have to learn how to access it. June will take you through the key elements of sketching - a rough type of drawing in preparation for a painting or formal drawing.

With a pencil and paper you can begin to capture your surroundings and your impression on the world. The best bit? Sketching breaths freedom. It's about rapid execution with little concern for accuracy..in other words, no need for perfection!

** The first 30 participants to register will be sent a FREE sketch kit to use in the workshop including:

- felt-tip pen

- grey-led pencil x 2

- sketchpad

Don't forget to add your postal address in when booking your ticket!

Facilitated by June Teh

June is an exceptional artist with expertise in sketching and watercolour. Her work can be viewed on Instragram @j.bug.martian. June believes sketching is how you convey your perspective of the world on a piece of paper. She recommends keeping a sketch book to capture the day-to-day drawings, just like a written journal. Through a sketch book you can improve your art and find your own style.

Workshop requirements:

Sharp grey led pencil (2b + 5b preferred), eraser and paper
